  FIFA 07 First Impressions
FIFA 07 First Impressions at GameSpot - FIFA 07, expected to ship in October of this year... Ooh yeah... Only have to wait another 4-8 weeks... Sounds like it'll be good with a considerable amount of the focus placed on the League Play mode... Check it...

  soccerTV.com - EPL on Canadian TV 06/07
soccerTV.com: soccer on TV everyday - TV listings for US and Canada, satellite TV information, restaurant and pubs guide

In Canada, Rogers Sportsnet, FOX Sports World Canada, and a yet-to-be-launched pay TV channel will divide the 2006-2007 EPL season as follows:

Hmm... I'm not wild about the sounds of "yet-to-be-launched pay TV channel", certainly not if that means PPV... I'd be fine with a Setanta Digital Channel, as long as it wasn't a crazy fee, it would just mean more choice and more matches, which would be cool, but can Canadian TV support 3 soccer channels (GolTV, Fox Sports World, & Setanta?)

FK Ventspils vs Newcastle (Bramble's goal)
YouTube - FK Ventspils vs Newcastle(bramble's goal)

Was very pleased to see Newcastle get the win, the away goal, and the clean sheet in their UEFA Cup qualifying round match on Thursday... Should be fairly straight forward to wrap this up in 2 weeks time and move forward into the proper competition.

About the Group stage from UEFA.com:
Two qualifying rounds produce a first round of 80 teams who play over two legs to find the 40 clubs that make up the group stage. This phase comprises eight groups of five, with each side playing four games, two at home and two away. The winners, runners-up and third-placed teams from each section advance to the last 32 where they are joined by the eight third-placed clubs from the UEFA Champions League. Here, the traditional two-match knockout format resumes, until the final.

I think a lot. Some people say I think too much... However, I don't want to be seen as being aloof or pretentious, it's just that I really enjoy philosophical questions and deep thoughts. That's not to say that I don't find pleasure in more down-to-earth or trivial things, like beer and soccer :) I'm happily married with 3 wonderful children.
