How cool is this? Newcastle has begun a Podcast! Haven't listened to it yet, but it's a great idea!

  Newcastle's New Signings
Ok, I admit, somewhat underwhelming, but I'm trying to be positive about these...

In chronological order:

Guiseppi Rossi
Will be interesting to see how he does... Man United have given him a contract extension to 2010, so clearly they must think he's got potential. No risk, gives us another option up front. Check out this video... small, pacy, very quick feet and certainly plays a high energy style...

Antoine Sibierski

Ok, so Man City supporters are singing in the streets, I know, I know - here's a positive spin on it... We've already got £37m of strikers at Newcastle (Owen, Martins, Luque), and with little quality available at a good price, I think it makes more sense to just patch things up as opposed to playing midfielders out of position. He'll do a job for us. I know he's both played in mid and up front, but I think he'll only ever get deployed for us up front, or perhaps come off the bench, but unless we have a whack of injuries I can't see him starting in midfield.

Olivier Bernard

I'm glad to get Bernard back, (see Goal #8 in the above video!) he was a very consistant performer for us - Great power, muscular, good tackler, also we get him for nowt, so we've spent next to nothing and patched up the weaker areas of the squad.

Another central defender would have been nice, let's just hope that Moore, Bramble and Taylor stay fit...

I think a lot. Some people say I think too much... However, I don't want to be seen as being aloof or pretentious, it's just that I really enjoy philosophical questions and deep thoughts. That's not to say that I don't find pleasure in more down-to-earth or trivial things, like beer and soccer :) I'm happily married with 3 wonderful children. I'm a partner in a technology services company based in Toronto. Myers Briggs says I'm an ENTJ
